License Key & Trial

How licensing and the free trial work in Continuum Writer.

Free Trial

When you first open Continuum Writer, a 14-day trial starts automatically. You get access to most features — no credit card, no signup required.

The app shows how many trial days remain in the top-right corner. When the trial expires, you'll need to enter a license key to continue using the app.

Purchasing a License

1. Visit the pricing page and click "Purchase"
2. Complete checkout via our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy)
3. Your license key will be emailed to you immediately

Entering Your License Key

1. Open Continuum Writer
2. If your trial has expired, you'll see the license screen automatically. Otherwise, go to Settings → License
3. Paste your license key and click "Activate"
4. The app will validate your key online (requires internet)

Offline Use

After activation, Continuum Writer caches your license locally. You can use it offline for up to 30 days before it needs to re-validate with the server (which just requires a brief internet connection).

Lost Your Key?

Check your purchase confirmation email, or use the license recovery page to look it up by email.
